Modules

Turn on the parts of LV-Database your association uses, and leave the rest off.

  • You have the permission app_settings.manage (administrators have it).
  • If you have loaded a template, it has already turned the game-world modules on or off. You choose the rest here.
  • The Modules page is in Danish only for now. Each module below has its Danish name in brackets.

Go to System → Modules (Moduler). A module that is off disappears from the menu and the player portal, its pages answer “turned off”, and its permissions apply to nobody. Data is never deleted: if you turn it on again, everything is as it was.

If a module requires another, the other one is turned on at the same time (the page asks first). If you turn a module off, the modules that use it are turned off too. The core — players, characters, abilities and professions, roles and permissions, settings — cannot be turned off.

The Modules page (Danish only)

Good to start with? is given for each module: Yes = most associations need it; When you need it = turn it on when the task comes up; Rarely = made for a particular style of play (usually LV-Live’s).

  • Requires: sending e-mail (SMTP).
  • Good to start with? Yes, if you do not use Wix. The page refuses to turn off the last login method.
  • A menu item has gone. The module is off — or a module it requires has been turned off.
