Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Know what happens to your installation when there is a new version, and what you need to do yourselves.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- We release a version with a version number, for example
v1.25.0, after it has been tested on the test installation. - We update your installation — one installation at a time, usually without you noticing more than a short moment where the page reloads. You do not install anything.
- The database updates itself at start-up. If something goes wrong, the new version does not start and the old one keeps running; then we roll back and contact you.
- Your settings, data and texts are kept. New modules usually arrive turned off, so nothing changes for the players until you choose it.
The version is shown at the bottom left of the admin menu.
What you need to do
Section titled “What you need to do”- Read Changes by version. Each version has a section with what is new and what an association may need to do (for example turn on a new module or review a new e-mail text).
- Wiki pages with something new are marked New in vX.
Common mistakes
Section titled “Common mistakes”- “A feature is missing in my browser but not for the others.” The browser is still running the old version of the app. Close all tabs with the installation and open it again.
- A new feature is not in the menu. It belongs to a module that is off. See Modules.
